Group Health Insurance
Our group health plan offers comprehensive protection for you and your family. Your co-pays, deductibles and co-insurance depend on the plan and providers you choose. A prescription drug program and dental coverage are included in the plan. The cost of this benefit is subsidized by Waddell & Reed based on your calendar year gross production.
Simplified Employee Pension Plan
As a Waddell & Reed advisor, you are eligible to open and invest in a Simplified Employee Pension Plan (SEP) at NAV.
Group Life Insurance
This plan provides a benefit to your beneficiary in the event you die while an active advisor. The cost of this benefit is subsidized by Waddell & Reed based on your calendar year gross production.
Net Asset Value Investment Program
This program enables you and your immediate family to purchase shares in our affiliated fund families, Waddell & Reed Advisors Funds and Ivy Funds at NAV.
401(k) and Thrift Plan
(Field Leadership only)
This plan provides savings opportunities on both a pre-tax 401(k) basis and an after-tax thrift basis. Waddell & Reed's match on 401(k) contributions is 100% on the first 3% of eligible earnings; 50% on the next 2% of eligible earnings. You are 100% vested upon entering this plan.
Retirement Income Pension Plan
(Field Leadership only)
This plan, funded by Waddell & Reed, is designed to provide you with retirement income in the form of a monthly benefit or a lump sum distribution. This plan has cliff-vesting at five years of eligible service.
Long-Term Disability Plan
(Regional Vice Presidents and Managing Principals only)
This plan provides income protection in the event of a disabling illness or injury. The cost is paid by Waddell & Reed.
Cafeteria Plan
(Field Leadership only)
Under the Cafeteria Plan, we offer a program that allows you to pay your group health plan premium with pre-tax earnings. You may also direct a portion of your salary, on a pre-tax basis, into accounts that you can use to pay for out-of-pocket health care or dependent daycare expenses.
